About Me

I am so blessed that God has led me to the opportunity to share my faith and knowledge with you.

I have lived in Central Texas my whole life, growing up in Hill County and marrying my wife, Agnes, almost forty-five years ago. I was ordained a Deacon of the Catholic Church for the Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas on August 10, 2020. I have two sons and two daughters-in-law, and one daughter, engaged to her fiancée. We have three grandsons who are some of the greatest blessings in our lives.

I have been in education for almost forty years and hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Tarleton State University.

Our faith in the Holy Trinity, our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Catholic tradition, and our family play such a tremendous role in our lives – these values and beliefs make us who we are.

Philippians 2:12 says "So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

The Catholic Church believes this implies a serious and reverent attitude towards God and the gift of salvation. It's a healthy humility that recognizes the awesome nature of God's work and the responsibility of responding faithfully to His grace, rather than a paralyzing fear of losing salvation.

In essence, the Catholic Church views salvation as a journey of grace and human cooperation. God always takes the initiative, offering His grace freely, but human beings are called to respond to that grace, living out their faith through love and good works, and continually striving for holiness with His help.

I pray for the salvation of all of you and look forward to getting to know each of you.
